Monterey Ready to cook Sisig
Last week ... my husband's friend gave us a bowl of sisig ...
and that was 2nd to the yummiest sisig I've ever tasted.
Sisig is one of our favorite dishes.
and one bowl is not enough ... argh .. it made me crave for more ...
I'm not good at cooking. but my first impulse is to learn
how to make it on my own.
but to my dismay ... Sisig is not that easy to prepare.
Through searching the net ... I land into one forum or thread
and they are talking about this Monterey ready to cook sisig ...
It gave me hope... I can make my own sisig in no sweat.
so I went to the grocery ..straight to the frozen meat section
and luckily foundnd it ... yey!
you can find cooking instruction at the back of the packaging
cooking instruction
1. allow frozen sisig to thaw completely
2. no need to use oil. transfer package content in the fan
3. cook over medium to high heat for 10 min
4. add chopped onion.
5. continue cooking for another 5 min
6. best serve on a preheated sizzling plate topped w egg and a dash of calamansi
and voila! my very own sisig! haha!
About the taste?
ahm... taste good... but not as good as the homemade one...
it's a little spicy ... and really easy to prepare ...
what i don't like about this ready to cook sisig is it is a little mushy.
but its good ... will definitely buy it again ...
by the way, this sisig comes in 500g
for 123 PHP.
overall rating? 7/10

I also don't like mushy sisig so what I do when I cook this sisig is leave it a bit longer than usual in the pan so it becomes crunchy.
